Discover Shopping Along the Hill Country Mile
One of the highlights of shopping in Boerne is the Hill Country Mile.
My sister and I first discovered this shopping paradise when we participated in the town’s holiday Stocking Stroll, an annual event in this historic shopping district.
We had so much fun that we returned in the summer to revisit these chic shops.
As you stroll down the sidewalks, get ready for a shopping escapade with a sprinkle of charm, a dash of history, and a whole lot of uniqueness. From stylish clothing boutiques to artisanal home goods, the Hill Country Mile has some of Boerne’s most incredible boutiques.
These Boerne shops are as diverse as they come, and you are going to love browsing through them all.
Main Street Boutiques
Boerne makes a great place for a quick Texas Hill Country getaway with your friends, mostly because of the fabulous boutiques and clothing stores on Main Street.
The Dienger Trading Co. makes the perfect starting point for your day in Boerne.
There is abundant parking at the rear of the store, and its location at the end of the Hill Country Mile makes it easy to walk down one side of Main Street and back up the other, ensuring you won’t miss any of the shops.
This store whisks you back to when everything was a little simpler. Clothes, housewares, and the most intriguing collection of goodies await you in this cozy spot.
Oh, and did I mention they’ve got a café? Yeah, you can sip on your latte while you browse. Fancy, right?
A short walk away will take you to Bechant’s, who brings on the bling with their selection of jewelry and accessories. Not only will you find a fabulous women’s selection, but the guys have their own spot as well.
If boho chic is your jam, you’ll fall head over heels for Celeste. They seriously have the cutest selection of clothing.
When you are looking for clothes with a little Texas flair and a lot of sarcasm, you have to stop by Gunpowder & Cabernet. Their collection of t-shirts and hats may just be what you are looking for.
Look for the Free Beer sign outside, and come on in and have a free cold one while you browse the shop.
If t-shirts aren’t your thing, keep walking to the style haven you will find at the Main Street shops, Ella Blue and The Pearl Antler. Your closet is about to be very happy.
Ella Blue and The Pearl Antler both rock the fashion scene in Boerne but in their own unique ways.
Young, fashion-forward ladies who are always on point with buzzworthy trends will love Ella Blue. On the flip side, The Pearl Antler shines bright by celebrating every woman, regardless of size or age. Their fashion choices are classic yet modern, timeless yet trendy, keeping all the stylishly mature women in mind.
One store you must visit, whether you are young or young at heart, is Hey Love, formerly known as Dang Sassy. This store has my vote for the cutest displays and overall fun shopping experience.
This is where you go when you need that perfect college gift or the best outfit for an upcoming event.
Each of these Boerne boutiques has a different vibe, but they all stand out in their own spectacular way.
Isn’t it cool how fashion can be so diverse and inclusive at the same time?
Home Goods and Antiques
In addition to clothing stores, Boerne is chock-full of unique shops where you can find all sorts of awesome items to spruce up your home.
You will find the best house decor at stores like 259 Home Market and Jac’s Home Store.
They have everything from Texas kitchen towels to overstuffed pillows and tons more. Every visit is like an adventure where you never know what you’ll find.
One of my favorite stores on Main Street is Two Trick Pony. You never know what you will find at this upscale consignment store. With a mix of both old and new, this is where you go when you want a unique find for your home that looks like you spent a fortune but you didn’t.
Then, there’s Cielo Mercantile. This place smells amazing! You’ll discover a ton of neat things, all surrounded by the best scents. It’s like taking a trip without leaving the store.
Visit Calamity Jane’s next for a wild west charm that’s hard to resist.
Are you into things with a vintage vibe? If so, Lady Lina’s is a must-see. They have all sorts of classy, old-school decor to charm your home.
And don’t forget about The Red Rooster. They have gorgeous candles and flower arrangements that can turn any room into a cozy nook. Simple things like that can make a house feel like home, you know?
Now, for all you nature lovers out there, A Little Nature Store is your haven. It’s not just a store; it’s like a tribute to the great outdoors. From garden gems that’ll make your backyard a wonderland to eco-friendly gifts that give Mother Earth a high-five, this spot has it all.
Shopping in Boerne for your Furry Friends
What truly sets Boerne apart is its love for your furry friends and its array of pet-centric stores.
Not only do they have stores animal lovers will adore, but it’s not uncommon to walk into a store that has a shop dog like Scarlett at Under the Fig Tree or the friendly welcome committee at Gunpowder & Cabernet.
Picture yourself walking into a place filled with vibrant pet accessories, toys that look almost too cute to play with, and gourmet treats that would make any pet’s mouth water. Yup, that’s Fetch and Friskers Shop and Barkery for you.
They sell everything from stylish collars to cozy beds and even outfits that might just be more fashionable than your own wardrobe.
The best part? They have the cutest freshly baked pet treats as soon as you walk in that you will swear are decorated sugar cookies until you read the flavors.
Oh, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for the dog mural in town. It’s a colorful and artistic tribute to Boerne’s love for dogs.
You’ll find yourself stopping to take pictures with your own furball right beside the larger-than-life painted canines. It’s like a pet photoshoot waiting to happen.
Now, let’s switch things up a bit and talk about Yappy Hours at Free Roam Brewing Company: Imagine enjoying craft beer in a pet-friendly space where your canine companion is not only welcome but encouraged to join in the fun.
So, next time you’re up for a shopping escapade with your pet, consider Boerne. It’s not just about picking up trendy items; it’s about being part of a town that celebrates the special bond between humans and their furry friends.
