It’s the kind of getaway that’s equal parts fun, indulgent, and just the right amount of extra. If you’re looking for an easy weekend escape filled with luxurious meals, Instagram-worthy sights, and just enough excitement to keep things interesting (without leaving you exhausted), Las Vegas is always a good idea.

Whether you’re celebrating a milestone birthday, a bachelorette party, or just the fact that you all deserve a fabulous weekend away, here’s how to plan the ultimate girls’ trip to Vegas.

Getting Around Vegas

The Las Vegas Strip is less than five miles from Harry Reid International Airport (formerly McCarran International Airport).

Taxis, Ride Shares, Shuttles, and Limousines are easily accessible at the airport. You just need to follow the signs once you land.

You do not need to rent a car unless you plan to go to places off the Strip like Red Rock, Seven Magic Mountains, or the Hoover Dam. Even then, many tour companies are available, including transportation.

Where to Stay on a Girls’ Trip to Vegas

A great hotel sets the tone for your entire trip. You’ll want somewhere stylish, comfortable, and centrally located. We usually stay at Mandalay Bay or The Vdara because of their spacious suites.

Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino

Mandalay Bay’s luxurious suites are perfect for a girls trip to Vegas.

The Mandalay Bay Panoramic Two-Bedroom Suite is spacious with incredible floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive views of the Las Vegas Strip.

I’ve also stayed in the Moorea Suite, which is equally impressive.

The suites have plenty of space for your group to hang out. They also come with a complimentary entrance to the Spa and The Foundation Room, which is the 63rd-floor rooftop club.

Your group will love the pool areas, spa, and restaurants.

The resort is at the end of the Strip, so you’ll need to walk or ride-share to most places.

Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA

Vdara is another favorite hotel because its central location on the Las Vegas Strip makes it easy to reach other attractions.

The Vdara Suite is a spacious and modern suite that’s perfect for a group of friends. It includes a pull-out sofa bed, a kitchenette, and a dining table for four. The suite also features a large soaking tub and a separate shower.

With spacious suites and plenty of amenities, you and your friends will have a great time.

Make sure to ask for a room overlooking the Bellagio fountains.

The Vdara does not have a casino but is connected to the Aria, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan through walkways and a tram.

Here are a few of my other favorites:

  • The Cosmopolitan – Trendy, chic, and right in the center of the Strip. The rooms have balconies (a rarity in Vegas). The pool is lively but not overwhelming, and the cocktail bars are top-notch.
  • Wynn Las Vegas – Elegant, luxurious, and home to some of the town’s best dining and shopping options.
  • The Venetian Resort – Spacious suites, a prime location, and a gorgeous Italian-inspired aesthetic. Perfect if you love a bit of European flair.
  • NYNY Hotel & Casino – Newly updated affordable rooms in a great location on the Strip

Pro tip: Sign up for casino reward cards before your trip. Many offer free rooms, dining credits, or discounted stays, even if you don’t gamble much.

Best Things to Do on a Las Vegas Girls Trip

There’s way more to Vegas than just casinos and clubbing. Here’s how to plan the perfect girls’ weekend.

Boozy Brunch & Buffets

Start your first day with an indulgent brunch featuring bottomless cocktails at one of Vegas’s chic spots before exploring the city’s dazzling hotel lobbies. Don’t miss my guide to the must-see Las Vegas hotel lobbies to make sure you catch all the best spots!

  • Lavo Party Brunch (at The Venetian) – If you want your brunch to turn into a daytime party, this is it. The elaborate and endless Italian brunch includes everything from pizza to oysters to pancakes your way.
  • Wicked Spoon (at Cosmopolitan) – One of the best buffets in Vegas, offering gourmet dishes and bottomless mimosas. The Wicked Spoon can’t be beaten when you need a place to please everyone at a reasonable price, at least for Vegas.
  • CATCH (at Aria) – A celeb-favorite with stunning décor and a brunch menu featuring seafood and decadent classics.
  • Sadelle’s (at Bellagio) – Overlooks the Bellagio Conservatory and is perfect for a chic, relaxed brunch with delicious pastries and mimosas.

Visit a Top-Rated Spa for a Day of Pampering

Las Vegas is home to some of the most luxurious spas in the world, and a Vegas girls’ trip wouldn’t be complete without a visit to at least one of them.

  • Qua Baths & Spa (Caesars Palace) is a massive 50,000-square-foot spa offering a Roman-inspired experience. Features Roman baths, a snow room, and ultra-relaxing massages.
  • The Spa at Wynn – Lavish, serene, and perfect for a full spa day with girlfriends.
  • The Spa at ARIA – Modern and sleek, with a beautiful Himalayan salt therapy room and heated stone beds.
  • The Sahra Spa at The Cosmopolitan has a Moroccan theme and features a Hammam, a traditional Turkish bath experience.

See a Spectacular Show

Las Vegas has world-class entertainment, from magic shows and acrobatic performances to concerts by some of the biggest names in music.

Of course, I would recommend seeing a concert in Vegas, but many of the long-standing shows are also fabulous.

You can’t go wrong with the Cirque du Soleil show, “O” at the Bellagio, KÀ by Cirque du Soleil at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, or Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino – all of which are amazing!

After catching a fantastic show in Las Vegas, take advantage of all the city offers without breaking the bank. Check out my guide to cheap and free things to do in Las Vegas to fill your trip with unforgettable experiences!

Fabulous Pools for a Relaxing Day

There’s no better way to soak up the sun than at a rooftop pool with breathtaking city views or at a day club pool party with live music.

To enjoy the Vegas sunshine without the all-day party scene, there are plenty of beautiful, more relaxed pools to choose from:

  • The Venetian Pools – Stunning Italian-inspired pools with a more refined, elegant atmosphere.
  • Wynn & Encore Pools – Serene and luxurious, perfect for sipping cocktails poolside without the chaos of a beach club.
  • Aria’s Liquid Pool Lounge – A sophisticated adults-only pool with a relaxed vibe, great for lounging and cocktails.
  • Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard Pool – Offers fantastic Strip views and a fun atmosphere without being over the top.
  • Resorts World’s Infinity Pool – A stunning rooftop pool that feels worlds away from the madness of the Strip.

For a livelier scene, Vegas has plenty of famous beach clubs, including Encore Beach Club, Wet Republic at MGM, and Marquee Dayclub at Cosmopolitan, where DJs, cocktails, and dancing keep the energy high.

Be ready to spend some money, though, because these spots are not cheap.

Pool Party Crawl on a Party Bus

One of the best and cheapest ways to visit multiple pool parties is with a Las Vegas 3-Stop Pool Party Crawl on board a party bus!

You’ll start the day by boarding a luxury party bus that is fully stocked and ready to ensure your journey is as fun as your destination.

Your experienced party host will get you into the best Las Vegas pool parties. Skip the lines and feel like a VIP as you soak up the sun, dance to the music, and enjoy the ultimate pool party experience.

Helicopter Ride Over the Strip

Make your Las Vegas celebration unforgettable with a Las Vegas Strip Helicopter or Grand Canyon Tour.

Whether you opt for a quick nighttime ride over the Strip or a more extended trip to the Grand Canyon with a champagne toast, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Learn to Gamble

Las Vegas is the world’s gambling capital, so why not try your luck at the tables?

Many casinos offer free beginner-friendly lessons. Learn the rules and strategies of popular games like blackjack, craps, and poker.

  • Circus Circus has daily lessons for Blackjack at 10:30 AM, Roulette at 11:30 AM, and Craps at 12:30 PM.
  • Luxor Hotel & Casino gives daily lessons for Craps, Blackjack, and Roulette at 12 noon.
  • The Venetian Casino offers free gaming lessons from Monday to Friday at the gaming tables near the Casino Cage.

We stopped one day to learn how to play Craps on our last girl’s trip to Vegas. After learning in a non-threatening environment, we had a blast playing through the night.

The Fremont Street Experience is a must-visit attraction in downtown Las Vegas.

It’s a pedestrian mall with a canopy of LED lights that stretch 90 feet above the street, creating a spectacular light show every night.

The canopy comprises of 12.5 million LED lights and is the largest LED screen in the world!

It is also home to several casinos, restaurants, and bars. You can try your luck at the slot machines or enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants.

And if you’re looking for some entertainment, there are street performers and live music shows throughout the day.

One of the highlights of the Fremont Street Experience is the Viva Vision light show.
