I have a bit of a soft spot for breakfast, though. There’s just something about it that sets the tone for the entire day.

Over time, I’ve hunted down the top spots to grab a morning bite in Breckenridge, and these places are the real deal.

Breckenridge has an abundance of restaurants for a small town. Luckily for visitors, many are open early, so you can grab a bite to eat and hit the slopes before the crowds arrive.

I love supporting locally owned businesses, and that’s what you’ll do when you visit these fantastic Breckenridge restaurants for breakfast.

So, whether you are an outdoor enthusiast flocking to the town for mountain adventures or, like me, are just visiting for snow, shopping, hot tub time, and mountain air, these are my favorite places to pick up a quick Breck breakfast before beginning the day.

Our Favorite Breakfast Spots in Breckenridge, CO

The Crown – 215 S Main St.

The Crown is one of my favorite restaurants for a quick, affordable breakfast in Breckenridge.

This cozy breakfast spot serves delicious food and some of the best boozy breakfast drinks to warm you up on a cold morning.

For a hearty and delicious breakfast, try The Watson, an egg, bacon, cheese, and avocado bagel sandwich, that is perfect!

I also recommend The Royal Tiger and The Peerless breakfast burritos.

The Crown has super friendly employees, and its location in the middle of Main Street makes it easily accessible to stop and pick up a quick bite to eat.

Cool River Coffee House – 325 S Main St.

At the Cool River Coffee House, burritos, tacos, bowls, and sandwiches are among the many options under $10. Plus, Cool River serves breakfast all day, so you can still eat breakfast if you get a late start.

Daylight Donuts – 305 N Main St

You can tell by the name that you can get donuts at Daylight Donuts, but you can also buy other breakfast items like the Tom MacMuffin, an English muffin with eggs, cheese, and meat, for less than $10.

The restaurant has a relaxed vibe but is not very big inside. Pick up your breakfast, and Daylight Donuts will package everything you need to enjoy your meal at home or on the go.

La Française French Bakery – 411 S Main St

When you walk in the door at La Française French Bakery, you will feel like you have wandered into an authentic French bakery. The scent of fresh-baked bread and pastries will have your mouth watering before you even order.

The bakery case overflows with all sorts of French pastries and baked goods.

The flaky croissants come in various flavors, like almond, chocolate, and my favorite, the chocolate almond.

The price is very reasonable, too, with most pastries costing around $5 or less.

They do serve breakfast sandwiches and quiches if you want eggs and meat.

You’ll want to order a coffee here. La Francaise made the best mocha I had all week.

Breckfast – 500 S Main St.

Breckfast is a counter-service walk-up restaurant, perfect for grabbing breakfast on the go. If you want to eat in, grab a seat at one of the booths or tables.

For breakfast in Breckenridge under $10, try The Local. Eggs, cheese, and your choice of meat are served on a biscuit with a hash brown patty or cheezy breckfast potatoes.

The waffle breakfast was a big hit with our group.

Clint’s Bakery & Coffee House – 131 S. Main St.

Clint’s Bakery & Coffee House is another great option for breakfast and coffee on the go before hitting the Breckenridge Ski Resort.

The super cute bakery and coffee shop are located on the street level just off Main Street.

You can grab a freshly baked muffin from the bakery case or a hot coffee, tea, or specialty beverage from the bar.

For a hot breakfast, head downstairs for fresh bagels or breakfast sandwiches.

Try the bars, brownies, and cupcakes if you crave a sweet treat in the afternoon.

Mountain View Coffee Bar – 222 S. Main St.

Pop into Mountain View Coffee Bar for a delicious coffee or tea to start your day, or choose a drink from the bar menu for an apres ski. Menu items include bagels, waffles, and burritos, all for less than $10.

Semplice Cafe – 209 N. Main St.

Semplice Cafe is a great counter-service type breakfast spot for healthier breakfast options. Besides excellent burritos and paninis, they also serve healthy toasts and smoothies.

There are many breakfast options here for vegetarians. Make sure you ask about gluten-free options as well.

This health-conscious cafe is a good choice to begin your day in Breck.

Coffee Depot – 505 S. Main St.

For amazing specialty drinks, a hearty breakfast, or a quick lunch, make a stop at the Coffee Depot. The menu is pretty simple, with burritos and bagels, but they are delicious and filling.

Crepes a la Cart – 307 S. Main St.

With over 70 crepes to choose from, you are bound to find a crepe that will satisfy your cravings at Crêpes à la Cart.

This ultra-popular breakfast spot in Breckenridge serves savory, sweet, and breakfast crepes. You can even choose your combinations.

The crepes are enormous and cost $14 or more, but they are worth it.

Expect a long wait unless you arrive early at the Main Street location.

Trolley Crepes Breckenridge – 505 S Main St.

Crepes a la Cart isn’t the only crepe stop in Summit County.

Head toward Main St. Station and try a crepe from Trolley Crepes Breckenridge for another French twist on breakfast.

The location at the base of Peak 9 is perfect for those taking the Quicksilver Chair Lift up the mountain.

The Best Brunch Spots in Breckenridge

Breckenridge offers more equally amazing breakfast options if you have a bit more time.

Even though the next two breakfast spots are more brunch and sit-down breakfast restaurants, I still think they deserve a spot on this list for their popularity.

Blue Moose at Breck – 540 S. Main St.

The Blue Moose restaurant is a staple breakfast restaurant in Breckenridge, serving breakfast, brunch, and drinks. You will want to check out their Moose Benedicts, their fluffy pancakes, and enormous omelets.

Don’t forget to check out their morning cocktail menu.

And, if you are traveling with Fido, the Blue Moose has a dog-friendly patio.

Cabin Juice – 605 S. Park Ave.

Cabin Juice, located in Breckenridge, CO, is a contemporary farm-to-table restaurant offering a delightful culinary experience for locals and travelers alike.

Serving brunch from 7AM to 3PM, this modern eatery is adorned with fabulous ski decor and exudes a warm, inviting ambiance.

Stop by for a cup of their outstanding coffee or indulge in their creative cocktails, featuring unique offerings such as a bacon fat-washed Bloody Mary and enticing breakfast shots.

I recommend trying the Haus Breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes.

Columbine Cafe – 109 S. Main St.

The Columbine Cafe touts itself as The BEST breakfast in Breckenridge, and with good reason.

Their menu has a huge variety: French toast with fresh fruit, plate-sized fluffy pancakes, gigantic breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, and eggs benedict.

Not to mention, their made-from-scratch corned beef hash and chicken fried steak breakfasts are top-notch!

But what they might be most famous for is their Hangover Burrito. This culinary delight is packed with chunky corned beef hash, eggs, cheese, and salsa, all wrapped up in a warm tortilla. The burrito is smothered with a savory pork green chili to take it up a notch, creating a hearty breakfast experience you won’t forget.

In addition to huge breakfast plates, the Columbine Cafe also serves up some strong breakfast cocktails, many with Breckenridge vodka.
