How to Get to Nashville

Many airlines fly directly into Nashville International Airport.

Use Skyscanner.com to search for the lowest airfares. This site is excellent at finding the best rates. Features like being able to search by month instead of by specific dates really save you money.

You’ll know you’re in for a good time as soon as you deplane in Nashville. Nashville has live music everywhere, even in the airport.

Hearing the music play when you walk through the airport is such an exciting way to start a Nashville girls getaway!

How to Get Around Nashville

You can rent a car, but having one isn’t necessary, especially if you plan to stay downtown.

If you do rent a car, parking is limited. Make sure to budget for some hefty fees to park. Our hotel, which only had valet parking, charged $40 per night for parking with in and out privileges throughout the day.

Downtown Nashville is totally walkable. However, when it is not possible to walk, Uber or Lyft drivers are available.

Try out a Lime or Bird scooter for a more adventurous way to explore downtown.

These scooters are everywhere, and with a simple swipe of a major credit card, you can hop on one and go. Please take precautions when renting a scooter!

Where to Eat in Nashville

If you are a foodie, Nashville is the place for you.

This city offers so many extraordinary restaurants. Whether you’re looking for down-home southern comfort food or a five-star meal does not matter, Nashville has it all.

Nashville is also home to restaurants owned by famous chefs, including Guy Fieri and Maneet Chauhan.

Our Nashville girls’ weekend was short, but we dined at fabulous places.

Another Broken Egg Café

For a fantastic Nashville breakfast, try Another Broken Egg Café.

Another Broken Egg Nashville

The expansive breakfast menu and boozy drinks will please even the pickiest eater in your party.

You can’t go wrong with a traditional egg breakfast here, but if you are a fan of eggs benedict, this café offers several scrumptious versions.

Trip Tip: Try the Hash Brown Benedict topped with lobster and served with country potatoes. It is delicious!

Puckett’s Restaurant

For an equally fantastic breakfast option, try Puckett’s Restaurant. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local, and it was one of our favorite restaurants.

Puckett’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with nightly live music.

Try one of the breakfast skillets or breakfast platters for hearty breakfast options.

The girls in our group tried Bubba’s eggs benedict, the biscuits and gravy, and the omelets. Everyone left with rave reviews.

Assembly Food Hall

One thing to know about me is that I must try the trendy donut spots in a new town. Nashville is no different.

When you are out and about exploring Nashville on your girls’ weekend, stop at Assembly Food Hall. Here, you will find the Donut Distillery, among many other places to eat.

The Assembly Food Hall is the perfect place to eat with a large group. It’s a three-story building with over thirty dining options and bars. Along with food and drinks, there are three stages and Nashville’s largest rooftop.

When you go to the Assembly Food Hall, make sure you come hungry!

Food options include donuts, hand-crafted pizza, seafood, lobster, crab, shrimp, sushi, poke, hot chicken, Chinese food, Thai food, and burgers.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken

You can’t go to Nashville and not make a stop at Hattie B’s Hot Chicken.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is the Nashville destination for fried chicken lovers.

The line out the door often snakes around the block, and it’s easy to see why. Hattie B’s serves up amazing fried chicken, no matter what level of heat you prefer. Even the mild option is hot.

The sides are also incredible: fried pickles, creamy coleslaw, pimento macaroni and cheese… and the banana pudding is out of this world!

If you’re lucky enough to snag a seat inside the restaurant, which has the best music pumped through it, sit back and enjoy the TVs or people watch as everyone else waits outside in those long lines.

It’s worth the wait!

Biscuit Love

Biscuit Love has four locations throughout Tennessee and Alabama, but this one is in the Gulch. Serving breakfast and lunch, Biscuit Love serves the best chicken breakfast sandwich called the East Nasty. It’s like biscuits and gravy with fried chicken. Amazing!

While there, pick up some Bonuts, like donuts but made with biscuit dough. They are dusted with sugar and remind me of the homemade donuts my mom made us when we were little.

Urban Grub

For amazing southern specialties with a mix of seafood, try Urban Grub. This once-little carwash is now a trendy restaurant and beer garden with a fresh and unique menu.
